I just realized I entered Ashlyn as Daisy's rider for this event by accident instead of Sano because the CHS JC threw me off

Sano knew it from the start. He hated this so called art of Dressage. His wife had been on his ass about it the moment he let it slip that he and Daisy were entering their first large show in the discipline. Bend, flexion, tracking up, contact, don't slouch or I'll hit you with the whip, alignment, open the inside rein. This, that, and every other kind of sort of misery she could throw at him. His poor mare didn't seem to mind the long hours of hard work zoned in on the twenty by sixty arena. In fact, she enjoyed it, her tongue lolling out of her mouth in pleasure as she always did, ears perked up to listen for commands and highly responsive to the lightest squeeze of leg. Such a natural. He was almost envious of her for it.

The leather saddle groaned lightly as he shifted his weight in the saddle, feeling uncomfortable in his show coat. "Ready, Miss?" He asked his mare, leaning forwards and giving her a scratch between her ears. He always had that one habit of calling her Miss when they were alone. She was, after all, a debutante. With all the effort she put into her work, she deserved to be treated as one.

"Oi!" Lyn said, hair in a frizzy frenzy as she jogged up beside them, huffing a little. She patted Daisy's neck and grinned. "Everything's settled; you can go into the arena now and start up. Remember what A told you -- "

"How can I forget?" He replied bitterly, a scowl plastering across his face for a minute, and she laughed. "Well, fine then, mister, head out into the arena like a badass. Don't screw this up, though."

He barked out a note of laughter as the arena gate opened and Daisy walked forward. "Let the lady lead, for once, and we'll do fine."
